Having experimented with countless methods and after complex development steps we still strive to obtain the best possible sound from our raw material. Good enough is not good enough for us.
Since the string length (vibrating length of the string measured from nut to bridge) of individual instruments differs, the string thicknesses should be chosen according to the string length.

We produce special pure gut low G- and C-strings.
By combining the traditional rope production methods with string making techniques, we were able to create a significantly thickened string.
Our string is very flexible, produces an audibly clearer sound and reacts more quickly to the bow compared to a string that has been thickened less.

Our wound strings guarantee a new playing experience.

SCHÜRCH-BRIDGE
SCHÜRCH-BRIDGE
Damit die Quinten zwischen den Saiten rein sind, muss die Masse in der Saite regelmässig verteilt sein. Darm ist ein Naturprodukt, das sich durch das Spielen verändern kann. Mit der Schürch-Bridge können sie ihre Saite zuverlässig und einfach auf Quinten-Reinheit überprüfen und gegebenenfalls mit einem feinen Schleifpapier korrigieren.Bis zur Einführung des maschinellen Schleifens war es für den Musiker selbstverständlich die Saite selbst nachzubearbeiten. Das Bewusstsein für die Notwendigkeit dafür ist bis heute verschwunden.Das Nachschleifen der Saiten mit der Schürch-Bridge ist einfach und unkompliziert und verlängert die Spielbarkeit ihrer Saite.Anleitung
